Since 1972, Life Treatment Centers has been providing addiction treatment to persons suffering from chemical dependencies. We are the only organization in North Central Indiana to offer a full continuum of care to all clients, regardless of their ability to pay. At Life Treatment Centers, no one is denied treatment due to limited financial resources.

For our first 22 years we were located in small homes in Elkhart, Indiana. In 1994, we were ready for expansion due to a high demand for our services. We moved into a 25,000 square foot facility in downtown South Bend and began offering a full continuum of care including detoxification, intensive day and evening treatment programs, residential housing, and administrative offices. Over the years, we have also obtained three additional homes in South Bend that are used as transitional halfway and three-quarter houses serving over 250 clients since 1998. The demand in Elkhart county remained strong. We opened our second outpatient counseling facility in July 2004 and have already surpassed all expectations and goals as the community response has been overwhelming. In only a few months, we've already served over 100 clients!
